The statement of the Minister of Interior on the occasion of “The Third International Congress on Health in Arbaeen”

Arbaeen; The largest spiritual gathering in the world; The place where millions of people, from fetuses resting in their mother's wombs to 100-year-old seniors participate, which increases the necessity to provide health services to pilgrims, and to diversify and enhance the variety of health services.

As one of the largest social gatherings of Muslims takes place in Arbaeen, the scientific power and medical knowledge are displayed in different fields and in a direct and intensive experience, and God willing, the world will witness a huge exercise in the field of health and treatment.

In view of the most unique global convention during Arbaeen Hosseini once again, we are obliged to ensure the health and safety of the pilgrims by using the most up-to-date medical technologies.

Meanwhile, unity and integration is one of the messages and achievements of ‘The International Congress on Health in Arbaeen’, and for the third time in a row, representatives in the field of health from different countries with synergy and cooperation, along with the Islamic Republic of Iran, will showcase a magnificent perspective of the strength and unity of Muslims around the axis of love for Aba Abdullah al-Hussein (AS).

The Congress on Health in Arbaeen should not be considered as a temporary event of a few days, but its achievements in international dimensions shall help the Islamic Ummah and humanity to benefit from the achievements of health management in huge religious and social gatherings.

With this approach, the reinforcement and inter-sectoral coordination among service providing groups, strengthening the diplomacy of Islamic countries, identifying existing capacities and strengthening people's participation are among the goals of the Congress on Health in Arbaeen, which shall be the source of welfare and blessings for all Muslims and humanity.

Prior to taking the first step, the great path of Arbaeen march requires identifying the capacities and strengthening the provision of health services to the pilgrims of Aba Abdallah al-Hussein (AS).

Planning for various cases and scenarios such as identifying common diseases, food health and safety especially during the hot season, the issue of dust and arrangements for patients with respiratory problems, presence of tens of thousands of pilgrims needing special care, and frequent accidents during the Arbaeen march helps to prevent risks, while carrying a great message with a global impact, diplomacy of health in Arbaeen; A message of peace, security, health, and justice that presents the philosophy of the Ashura movement to the world.

On the path of this march, hundreds of thousands of love birds from dozens of other countries fly in the air and in the shrine of Imam Hossein, each of which can be an ambassador of Arbaeen health and security.

The Third International congress on Health in Arbaeen will be held with the cooperation of scientific, cultural, religious institutions and executive departments of the country, and with the participation of intellectuals and scientific elite from all over the world with the aim of preserving the global movement of Ashura in 1402 (2023) and the achievements of this collaboration will without a doubt, resolve many problems concerning the health of the pilgrims on the Arbaini route of Advent Of Imam Al-Mahdi ('A).

During this great religious event, with more than two thousand participants from various fields of medical sciences, organizers of processions, the Red Crescent and other related institutions, there will be discussions and exchange of views about challenges, damages and medical risks in the course of Arbaeen, and diverse health and hygiene services to a wide range of age groups and people with different diseases participating in Arbaeen.

We are the nation of Imam Hussain, and we are proud that the badge of honor on our chest is to serve the pilgrims of Aba Abdullah Al Hussain (AS), and ensuring their health and safety.
